Toilet Paper Predicament

....Like Mother......Like Daughter....

At a recent church event, a few parents were talking about how it's so interesting that our children catch us off guard every once in a while when their speech too closely resembles ours. We've all had that happen when we ask ourselves, "do I really sound like that?". Our little clones are not only listening to what we say, but they are watching what we do!
Sad to admit this and maybe it's a little more dramatized since it was my two year old's rendition of the event, but here's how THIS scene went! Read on...

I was busy getting Bree reading for her nap, and I knew Reese was helping herself to the potty in our room since there's too often a dirty cloth diaper in the girls' toilet. So, I yelled down the hall, "Reese do you need help wiping?". She said, "No".

When I went into the bathroom, I was surprised by a roll of toilet paper wrapped around this little one's hand. I said, "Reese. What are you doing?". She replied, "I am wiping my butt like you do".

Hmmmmm....is there a toilet paper crisis at our house? Who is the cause? I think I may have been caught "red", -er "toilet paper" handed!

Sorry if it's T.M.I., but it was TOO cute!

Reese is off to School!!

Time for Twos
Reese's First Day of "School"
Reese had such a fun time getting ready for school. We laid out her clothes the night before; talked about what was happening the next day; woke up in the morning and got dressed, brushed teeth, ate breakfast, curled hair, packed her bookbag; and headed to school!
What a SMILE...She is attending the two year old program at a local church 2 hours, 2 days a week. She found her cubby and got to hang her Dora backpack up before heading to class!

What a BIG girl!

Reese LOVES puzzles, so it's no wonder she was into the puzzles on the 1st day!

She ended the day by playing under the playset with rocks! We'll remember to not wear sandals next week!

Oh, Deer!

Reese and Bree visited Great-Aunt Cindy and Cousin Kelly's house on Saturday this last week. They were so gracious to entertain the girls while I helped Joe and Lucy at their new apartment. Some of the highlights of the day (I was told by Cindy, Kelly, AND REESE) were: putting together puzzles, riding bike, and feeling a baby deer with spots! Check out these pictures!

Think Twice about Questioning a Two Year Old's Tall Tale...It's Probably TRUE!

{SO SORRY}
I've been away for so long, now! It's hard to believe the last post was AUGUST of last year!

Well it's a year later; it's time to celebrate!
Our little Aubree Marie is ...ONE!
Can you think of a better way to start a birthday??
Havin' some fun with her silly dinosaur ball toy!

Walkin' like a "big one year old" to breakfast!
Mmmm...not as good as daddy's pancakes, but they'll do!
Creating a plan of action!
